1. The auction will take place at the head office of Maison Bibelot or at another location that will be indicated to you and will be governed by the Conditions of Sale listed on this site or available at our offices. It will be preceded by an exhibition, during which the Director of the sale and the heads of the departments will be at your disposal for any clarification. During the exhibition days, you will have the opportunity to examine the state of preservation and quality of the objects, as well as to clarify any errors and inaccuracies that may have been reported in the catalogue, with the help of an expert of your choice.
All objects are sold ‘as seen’, in their current state and condition.

  2. Access to the auction room and participation in the auction is permitted after registration, which must be carried out at our secretariat. By registering, you approve and sign the General Terms and Conditions of Sale. Upon registration, you will be given a pallet number with which you will be enabled to bid in the auction room.

  3. Maison Bibelot S.r.l. may accept purchase commissions (written and telephone bids) of the lots for sale on precise mandate for those who cannot be present at the sale. Lots shall always be purchased at the lowest price allowed by other bids on the same lots, and by registered reserves. Maison Bibelot S.r.l. shall not be held liable, although it shall take the utmost care for any errors it may incur in the execution of bids (written or by telephone). When completing the appropriate form, the bidder is requested to carefully check the lot numbers, descriptions and figures indicated. Purchase orders with unlimited bids will not be accepted.
Telephone bids will only be accepted if made in writing prior to the sale. In the case of two identical written bids for the same lot, the one received first shall prevail.

  4. During the auction, the Bailiff shall have the right to combine or separate lots and take any measure deemed useful for the best management of the auction, including the possibility of withdrawing a lot from the sale at his sole discretion.

  5. Lots shall be awarded by the auctioneer, director of the sale: in the event of disputes, the disputed lot shall be put up for auction again at the same session on the basis of the last bid collected. The bid made in the auction room always prevails over the commission purchase commissions.
