Our history - Auction House

The auction house Maison Bibelot, born in Florence in 1997 from an idea of Elisabetta Mignoni, has quickly become a meeting and reference point for collectors, enthusiasts and operators of ancient and contemporary art, antiques and jewellery.

Since the very beginning of its activity, it has distinguished itself for the organisation of important House sales such as the sale of the furnishings and paintings of Villa La Capponcina, D'Annunzio's residence, of the Marignolle Castle, of the Villa di Maggiano on the outskirts of Lucca, of the designer furniture of the writer Anna Rontani, of the collection of the ancient Villa Piatti, a historical Florentine villa and, more recently, of the residence of Maestro Pietro Annigoni, achieving international success.

Every year, its departments offer clients numerous auctions, many of them in timed mode, in which carefully and carefully selected, all previously unseen, privately-owned goods are presented. In its auctions, whether timed or classic, you can find both antique and designer furniture, collectible curiosities, vintage and modern jewellery from the major international brands, antique drawings and paintings, 19th-century and contemporary paintings, vintage accessories, antique books, 20th-century decorative arts with an eye on new style trends.
The Maison Bibelot employs a young and dynamic staff of experts and art enthusiasts that Elisabetta Mignoni, today the sole administrator, wanted around her with a winning intuition.
