Lot N. 107
Scuola fiorentina della prima metà del XVII secolo
Portrait of prelate
oil on canvas, framed, some defects
cm 126x94
The following technical sheet of the work was created by Professor Sandro Bellesi as part of the inventory of the paintings of the Franceschini Farm.
In a reasonable state of conservation, the work represents a male figure currently not identifiable, to be recognized with probability, given the collection to which it belongs, with a member of Casa Pitti. Unfortunately, the lack of specific stylistic characteristics does not allow, at the present state of knowledge, to be able to identify the author of the painting. The author is however to be found within the Florentine school of the first half of the seventeenth century. In the work there are also interesting juxtapositions to the Emilian and Lombard schools of the time.
