First edition of this beautiful work by the English artist William Henry Bartlett (1808-1854) illustrated by 33 tipped-in steel engravings (including frontispiece, title page and island map) and 16 woodcuts in the text. Text within a typographical frame. Green cloth binding richly decorated with gilt friezes on the spine and boards, with slight signs of use. Golden head cut, yellow guards. Some plates slightly flowery and loose, but overall a good copy
