Coeval editorial binding in very bad condition, with tears and large shortcomings on the spines and boards. Loose hinges, some c. untie. Example in beards with mende on the margins of the c.; sporadic blooms; title pages slightly burnished and with some halos. First edition of the important treatise by Angelo Fumagalli (1728-1804) which bears witness to the great interest in diplomatic studies that flourished in Italy in the late eighteenth century (2)
