The drawing has been declared of historical and artistic interest by the ministerial decree no. 200/2018, dated November 29, 2018 As evidenced by historical and artistic report accompanying the decree, the drawing copies the large canvas by Tintoretto executed in the mid-sixteenth century for the Chiesa dei Gesuiti in Venice and acquired in 1806 by the Gallerie dell’Accademia. In our opinion the drawing is of a later period than the painting from which it derives.
